Do You Really Need To Root Your Android Device

Rooting your android device brings additional features that gave you full access to the system directory and can make changes to the way the OS operates. As part of rooting, you install usage manager (SuperSU is the main one right now).Android is based on the Linux kernel, so right from the start, tinkerers and power users were interested in gaining root access to make changes and graft on new features. There were several apps and tools that could root almost any Android phone or tablet, like Kingroot, Kingoroot are the most popular ones and very easy to use.

But do you really need root your android device:
Rooting your phone or tablet gives you complete control over the system, and that power can be misused. Android is designed in such a way that it’s hard to break things with a limited user profile. A superuser, however, can really trash things by installing the wrong app or making changes to system files. The security model of Android is also compromised to a certain degree as root apps have much more access to your system. Malware on a rooted phone can access a lot of data. And in very harsh conditions it may can damage your hardware. By rooting your device you may lose warranty provided by the manufacture. For this reason and many more , Google does not officially support rooted devices. There’s even an API called SafetyNet that apps can call on to make sure a device has not been tampered with or compromised by hackers.
Generally users root their devices to install custom rom or to install xposed framework which basically brings all the new features to your device. But their are so many cons of doing so, if you root your device to install custom rom then probably want to install the latest one based upon Nougat architecture for which xposed framework is not yet rolled out.In my experience, I didn't like Nought based custom rom, they are full of bugs, unstable, and many issues like wifi is not working, camera app won't open and so on.

If you buy a new device which already came with nougat  then I don't think its a good idea to root your device,  you may lose your warranty and there is point of doing that, you won't be able to tweak anyway.

But if your are still a marshmallow user who does not care about warranty or the warranty period is over then go ahead root your android device, install xposed framework, use its awesome features. In the end you want regret that choice.

[Development Status] Xposed for Nougat 7.0 & 7.1.1
